Air Canada's Introduces New Family-Friendly Services.

Air Canada Air Canada is introducing new family-friendly services for customers with young children to make summer vacations even more enjoyable.


Anyone flying Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge or Air Canada Express with young children will be able to take advantage of dedicated check-in counters at major hubs, complimentary seat selection for proximity seating, and a range of other services designed to meet the needs of travelling families.
 


Air Canada Family Summer Travel Services are introducing airport and onboard programs that will simplify all aspects of the travel experience for families during their summer holiday travel's.

 

Parents will be able to enjoy peace of mind so they can share in their children's delight in the magic of flying and freedom of summer.

Key features of the program include:
•    Dedicated family check-in lines for families travelling with young children at Air Canada's main hubs at Toronto-Pearson, Montreal and Vancouver


•    Complimentary, standard seat selection within each cabin of the aircraft for proximity seating for family members


•    Pre-boarding between zones 2 and 3 for families travelling with young children


•    Complimentary Air Canada Skyrider activity book for children up to age 11


•    Priority rebooking in event of schedule changes


Air Canada also continues to offer a fee-for-service Unaccompanied Minor program for children aged eight to 17 travelling without a parent or guardian on non-stop itineraries.

New itinerary and early start mark Uncruise's 2019 Alaska season.

A new itinerary and an earlier start to the season are among the highlights of UnCruise Adventures’ 2019 Alaska program.

Starting April 6 – the earliest start in the company’s history - seven small ships sail 142 departures on 11 itineraries.

From April through September, boutique yachts and expedition ships sail adventure cruises lasting one to two weeks from homeports of Seattle, WA; Ketchikan, Juneau, Petersburg and Sitka, Alaska. Ships carry 22 to 90 guests.

In spring 2019, UnCruise will feature 24 Alaska Awakening departures in April and May and will begin spring sailings the earliest in company history.

 

New itinerary
Among the sailings is a new Alaska’s Glacier Country itinerary sailing roundtrip from Juneau. The 90-guest S.S. Legacy and the 36-guest Safari Explorer sail 36 departures with one day in Glacier Bay National Park.

 

The itinerary also explores Icy Strait, Endicott Arm with Dawes Glacier, Fords Terror Wilderness Area, as well as searches for humpback whales in Chatham Strait and Frederick Sound.

New service marks first route to Tianjin and Shenzhen from Canada.

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) celebrated the arrival of Hainan Airlines and its inaugural flight between YVR and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport (SZX) via Tianjin Binhai International Airport (TSN).

 

The twice-weekly service marks the first route to Shenzhen and Tianjin from Canada and is Tianjin’s first connection to North America. 

Coinciding with the Canada-China Year of Tourism, the year-round service will further link Canada to two exciting cities in China. 

YVR now has the most Mainland Chinese carriers in North America and, when combined with Air Canada’s existing services to this important market, is now well established as a leading connecting hub between Asia and the Americas.

The route will be operated on a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with a seat configuration of 36 Business class and 177 Economy class seats.

 

Hainan Airlines will depart from YVR at 11:30 a.m. and arrive at TSN at 2:15 p.m. (+1), before continuing the journey. The flight arrives at SZX at 7:45 p.m. On return, it departs SZX at 7:25 a.m. and arrives at TSN at 10:25 a.m. before departing Tianjin and arriving at YVR at 9:30 a.m.

YVR Celebrates New Services to Zurich and Paris

 

Air Canada expands its European connections with two seasonal services.
 

Vancouver International Airport (YVR) celebrated the launch of two new, non-stop seasonal services: Air Canada’s thrice-weekly service to Zurich that had its inaugural flight on 7th June 

 

As well as four-time weekly service to Paris, launched on 8th June. These new routes will further connect YVR’s passengers with two key European cities.


Air Canada will service the new routes with their state-of-the-art 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring Air Canada’s Signature Class lie-flat pod suites, Premium Economy and Economy Class seats.
