Disney Cruise Line will float into Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade is back this year in New York for the 95th time, and whether you watch in person or on TV, you'll see the travel industry represented.

One of the floats will be from Disney, which has participated in the parade since 1934, when it launched a 40-foot Mickey Mouse over the streets of Manhattan.

This year's entry tips its hat to the cruise industry. The "Magic Meets the Sea" float, inspired by the new Disney Wish (entering service in June 2022), will sail from 77th Street and Central Park West to the Macy's Department Store in Herald Square and will air on national TV on Nov. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon in all time zones.

Like the Disney Wish, the float will feature Disney characters, including Aladdin and Jasmine, and those iconic red funnels.

Disney will be joined by two other travel industry players, with floats from New Orleans and Mount Rushmore.
