EXPLORA III, the newest ship from Explora Journeys, is designed to feel like a private yacht, combining space, privacy, and refined comfort. Powered by LNG technology, the ship is longer and more spacious than its predecessors, offering one of the highest public-space-per-guest ratios in the industry. With 463 suites and nearly one host per guest, EXPLORA III delivers highly personalized service.
The ship’s redesigned Lobby features a dramatic double-height atrium, elegant marble finishes, designer furnishings, a fireplace, and live music, creating a welcoming social hub. The Conservatory Pool & Bar on Deck 11 offers an all-weather retreat with a large indoor pool, natural light, and a retractable glass roof. Guests can also enjoy three heated outdoor pools, whirlpools, private cabanas, and shaded relaxation areas.
EXPLORA III offers 313 Ocean Suites, 109 Penthouses, and 39 Ocean Residences, all with ocean views and private terraces. Floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious interiors create a “home at sea” atmosphere. Bathrooms feature double vanities, and many residences include bathtubs for private relaxation.
For the first time, the ship features two exclusive Owner’s Residences on Decks 7 and 8, each designed for ultimate luxury and privacy. The Deck 7 residence, created by renowned designer Patricia Urquiola, combines elegant materials, curated artwork, a private steam room, and outdoor whirlpool areas for seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Dining aboard EXPLORA III expands on previous ships with returning favorites and three new concepts. Highlights include Shore Club on 11 for poolside dining, The Chef’s Table for immersive culinary experiences, and The Cellar for wine lovers. With 12 bars and lounges, including a whisky bar and outdoor cigar lounge, guests can enjoy diverse beverage experiences throughout the ship.
Wellness is a central focus on EXPLORA III. On Deck 5, the Ocean Wellness area brings together spa, fitness, and relaxation facilities. New features include sound therapy pods, serene lounges, advanced Technogym equipment, Pilates studios, outdoor sports courts, and a scenic running track.
Shopping and culture are also key elements. Luxury boutiques feature brands such as Cartier and Chopard, along with over 30 artisanal labels and exclusive Explora Journeys jewelry. An onboard art gallery presents rotating exhibitions, turning the ship into a floating cultural space.
Families and younger travelers are welcomed through dedicated Nautilus Club spaces for children and teens, while maintaining a calm and elegant atmosphere. For business travelers, EXPLORA III offers high-speed Wi-Fi and three modern meeting rooms for remote work and conferences.
Before its official launch, EXPLORA III will debut with an exclusive Mediterranean Prelude Journey in July 2026, sailing from Genoa to Civitavecchia. This limited voyage will give guests early access to the ship’s new features and opportunities to meet its creators. The official naming ceremony will follow in Barcelona on August 1, 2026.
As the fleet’s first LNG-powered vessel, EXPLORA III reflects Explora Journeys’ commitment to sustainability, innovation, and responsible luxury. Its inaugural voyages will explore the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Iceland, and Greenland.
Overall, EXPLORA III represents a new era of ocean travel—focused on space, elegance, wellbeing, and meaningful connections with the sea, offering guests a refined and deeply immersive luxury experience.
