Explora Journeys Announces New 2027–2028 Itineraries

Explora Journeys has introduced two new Journey Collections for the Northern Winter 2027–2028 season, featuring destinations across South America, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Islands.

EXPLORA I: South America

From December 2027 to March 2028, EXPLORA I will explore Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, the Falkland Islands and Chile during the Southern Hemisphere's summer season.

The itinerary includes Christmas at sea and New Year's Eve on the Brazilian coast. Guests will have five overnight stays in destinations including Buenos Aires, Puerto Madryn and Rio de Janeiro, along with eight late departures in coastal cities such as Balneário Camboriú, Port Stanley, Rio de Janeiro and Maceió.

The journey includes 20 maiden destinations, including 12 in Brazil. Further south, the ship will visit Montevideo and travel through the Beagle Channel toward Puerto Williams, Punta Arenas and Cape Horn. Guests can experience glaciers, fjords and remote landscapes throughout Patagonia.

EXPLORA V: Inaugural Journeys

EXPLORA V will begin its inaugural season from December 2027 through April 2028, exploring the Western and Central Mediterranean, North Africa and the Atlantic Islands.

The journey includes a maiden call in Crotone, Calabria, along with late departures in Salerno, Livorno, Palma de Mallorca, Kotor and Ibiza. Istanbul offers opportunities for evening exploration, while Pauillac provides access to Bordeaux and its surrounding wine region.

The itinerary also includes Christmas at sea and New Year's Eve near Naples, with views of the city's celebrations from the ship.

In January, EXPLORA V will sail toward the Atlantic Islands before returning to the Mediterranean in March. Destinations include Tenerife, the Canary Islands and Madeira, known for volcanic landscapes, dramatic coastlines, forests and terraced hillsides.

Overnight stays in Casablanca and Lisbon provide additional time to explore these historic Atlantic cities.

The new collections focus on longer stays, late departures and overnight visits, giving travellers more time to experience each destination beyond traditional port calls.
