Hyatt announces updates on Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos

CHICAGO — Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos are set to open in the second half of 2026, according to Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Parks Hospitality Holdings.

Hyatt’s Javier Águila said the properties will blend the convenience of all-inclusive stays with the design, service, and identity of the Park Hyatt and Grand Hyatt brands.

Parks Hospitality Holdings CEO Charles El Mann Fasja called the openings a major milestone for both the company and Mexican tourism, highlighting strong confidence in Mexico as a leading global destination.

He added that the developments will introduce a new level of luxury all-inclusive travel in Riviera Maya and Los Cabos.

Described as combining Park Hyatt’s refinement with the ease of an all-inclusive stay, the resort is set to open by the end of 2026 along Mexico’s Caribbean coast between Cancún and Puerto Morelos.

The property will be located in the private AMAI enclave and feature 148 rooms and suites, including select units with private pools, plunge pools, and a 2,300-square-foot penthouse.

Each guest will have a dedicated Resort Ambassador from before arrival to assist throughout their stay.

Dining will include a chef-driven program across seven venues, along with amenities such as a beachfront pool with cabanas, an open-air spa garden, daily wellness experiences, and access to El Tinto Golf Course.

The oceanfront Grand Hyatt Los Cabos, set to open later this year in the Oleada Pacific Living & Golf community in Cabo San Lucas, is designed for both leisure travel and special events.

The 301-room resort will include standard rooms, suites, swim-out options, and a large Presidential Suite.

Facilities will feature extensive meeting and event spaces, outdoor gardens, multiple restaurants and bars, and an 18-hole Ernie Els-designed golf course.

Guests will also have access to a spa, fitness centre, kids’ and teen clubs, pickleball courts, and several ocean-view pools, including adults-only, family infinity, and a splash park.
