Thailand Launches New Travel Campaign for Digital Nomads

Thailand has introduced a new campaign called ‘LOCO(AL) Working Space’ to attract digital nomads—people who work online while traveling. The campaign invites remote workers to enjoy the local culture, natural beauty, and strong internet while working in beautiful parts of Thailand.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand supports this campaign and says it offers peaceful and creative places to work. The idea is to combine work with local experiences in a calm and inspiring setting.

The campaign highlights three main locations: Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and Phuket.

Chiang Mai – Valley Space

Chiang Mai offers a mix of tradition and modern comfort. Co-working places like Alt ChiangMai and Alt PingRiver have everything digital nomads need, including furnished rooms and shared spaces.

Nearby villages offer relaxing getaways:

  • Mae Klang Luang: Located in Doi Inthanon National Park, this quiet village is surrounded by rice fields and flower gardens. Visitors can experience the peaceful life of the Karen tribe.

  • Mae Mae: A small village with green hills, eco-tours, and strong local traditions.

  • Mae Sa Noi: Known for waterfalls, forest trails, and chances to see elephants in the wild.

Bangkok – Classic Space

In Bangkok, nomads can work in Trok Dilokchan, a historic street with old-style buildings, cozy cafés, and unique co-working spots. It's a perfect mix of old and new, culture and comfort.

Phuket – Island Space

Phuket is ideal for those who want to work by the beach.

  • Ko Lon: A peaceful island with beautiful reefs, kind locals, and fresh seafood. It’s a great place to relax and focus.

  • Ko Naka Yai: Just 15 minutes by boat, this small, quiet island is perfect for getting away from crowds.

  • Phuket Old Town: Colorful streets, colonial buildings, and fun cafés make this a great place to work creatively.

This campaign also connects to Thailand’s ‘5 Must Do’ experiences. It encourages digital nomads to live like locals—try Thai food, learn local crafts, support community businesses, explore nature, and find inner peace.

Thailand wants to be more than just a work spot—it wants to be your second home.
