WestJet Extends Daily Service to Tokyo

WestJet has announced it will continue operating its daily service between Calgary International Airport (YYC) and Narita International Airport (NRT) year-round, extending the route through March 2026. Originally launched last year with three flights per week, the Calgary–Tokyo route was ramped up to daily service and was initially expected to be seasonal.

With this move, Tokyo will remain conveniently accessible from Calgary throughout the entire year, enhancing travel and connectivity between Canada and Japan.

The route is operated using WestJet’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet and plays a significant role in strengthening tourism and economic ties between Western Canada and Asia.

Through its codeshare partnership with Japan Airlines, WestJet also offers seamless onward connections from Narita to major Japanese cities like Osaka-Itami (ITM) and Nagoya (NGO). Passengers benefit from simplified booking, automatic baggage transfers, and the ability to earn WestJet rewards across their entire journey.
