WestJet has launched a new feature that allows travelers to book interline itineraries directly through its website, mobile app, and contact centre. This enhancement enables customers to combine WestJet flights with those of partner airlines in a single, seamless reservation.
The update is expected to significantly expand travel options, eventually providing access to hundreds of additional destinations across six continents through nearly 50 interline partners.
The rollout begins with a partnership with Copa Airlines, now available for booking. Initial routes will focus on improving connectivity to Central and South America, allowing travelers to connect through WestJet’s Mexico destinations and Panama City to reach 37 cities across 18 countries, including Uruguay, Guatemala, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, and Peru.
This new booking capability offers travelers a more streamlined experience, similar to codeshare or fully operated WestJet itineraries, while expanding destination choices. Interline bookings can be managed directly through WestJet’s platforms, including changes and cancellations. Passengers will also receive boarding passes and baggage tags through to their final destination at check-in.
Additionally, WestJet Rewards can be applied across the entire journey, including partner-operated flights, with points available for redemption toward travel costs.
By the end of 2026, WestJet plans to extend this feature to more than 10 interline partners, adding over 100 new destinations. Future partners are expected to include Korean Air, Japan Airlines, Kenya Airways, LATAM Airlines, and Saudia, further expanding WestJet’s global network into regions it does not currently serve directly.
