Air Transat gets green light for codeshare service to three new markets
The Canadian Transportation Agency has approved licences for Air Transat to operate scheduled international service through codesharing to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
The approvals do not mean new flights are launching immediately.
Airlines can seek codeshare licences well in advance of any actual service.
Some reports stated that Air Transat already has a codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines.
Turkish Airlines serves more than 350 destinations in over 130 countries.
Its network includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Thailand.
The two airlines began their interline and codeshare partnership in fall 2025.
Air Transat has not announced specific routes or launch dates tied to the new approvals.
