China Airlines plans to add 13 new Airbus aircraft to its fleet, including five A350-900s and eight A321neos.
Five A321neos will be leased from U.S.-based Air Lease Corporation, with lease terms ranging from 123 to 143 months. The remaining three are still under negotiation.
The airline says the cost of the five A350s will not exceed $1.965 billion, and the new aircraft are part of a long-term strategy to boost operational capacity and global competitiveness.
