After a six-month hiatus, Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday is back, ready to send shivers down your spine just in time for Halloween and the holiday season. The iconic attraction, adorned with eerie decor inspired by Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas," will reopen its doors on July 29.

Disneyland temporarily closed the Haunted Mansion on January 22 for renovations in New Orleans Square. The updates include expanding the outdoor queue, adding handicap accessibility, and creating a new gift shop inspired by Madame Leota's carriage house. The new queue area will feature charming gardens with fountains and statues of beloved characters.

This year, visitors can expect some exciting new additions to the holiday overlay. A standout feature is the all-new gingerbread house design in the frightful ballroom scene, adding a fresh twist to the beloved tradition.

While the Haunted Mansion itself will be ready for visitors on July 29, the new store and outdoor queue area are still under construction and will open at a later date.

How to Access the Haunted Mansion

Starting July 29, entry to the Haunted Mansion will be through a virtual queue via the Disneyland app. Here’s how it works:

  • Virtual Queue Times: Guests can request to join the virtual queue twice daily:

  • 7 a.m.: For guests with a park reservation and a one-park or Park Hopper ticket.

  • Noon: For guests already inside Disney California Adventure Park or Disneyland Park with a Park Hopper ticket.

There will be no standby queue available, so make sure to secure your spot through the app. Check availability just before your visit or by 7 a.m. on the day of your visit. Only one person in your group needs to make the request if everyone's tickets are linked to their Disney account.

Get ready for a spine-tingling experience as the Haunted Mansion Holiday returns with its spooky charm and exciting new features. Don’t miss out on the frights and delights waiting for you at Disneyland!
