Princess Cruises is preparing for its most expansive Alaska season to date in 2026, highlighted by the debut of its newest ship, Star Princess. The cruise line’s enhanced program will feature eight ships, 180 sailings, and visits to 19 destinations across Alaska.

The season will include sailings aboard Star Princess, Coral Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Discovery Princess, and Island Princess, offering travelers a wide range of itineraries and experiences throughout the region.

Princess Cruises’ North to Alaska program is designed to bring guests closer to the spirit, culture, and natural beauty of Alaska through immersive experiences, scenic glacier viewing, and opportunities to connect with local experts and storytellers.

Signature Experiences

Guests can look forward to a variety of enhanced onboard and destination experiences. A key highlight is the Glacier Experience: A Signature Princess Day, which offers enriched glacier viewing with expert commentary, National Park Ranger programming, and exclusive access to the ship’s bow. Educational talks and family-friendly ranger activities will also be available.

A Welcome to Alaska orientation session will help guests get acquainted with the destination, while the new Après Sea experience—featured on Star Princess—brings an après-ski-inspired lounge atmosphere to sea, complete with drinks and scenic views.

In addition, the Candlelight Concert Series: Fire & Ice will showcase intimate live performances from Alaskan singer-songwriters, offered twice on every voyage.

Culinary Highlights

Princess Cruises is also introducing new Alaska-inspired dining options, spotlighting regional seafood such as wild king salmon, crab, lobster, and halibut. These dishes will be featured across specialty dining venues, including Crown Grill and Sabatini’s, giving guests a true taste of the region.

Cultural & Immersive Programming

Returning favorites like the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, Puppies in the Piazza, and presentations inspired by Deadliest Catch will once again be part of the onboard experience.

The cruise line is also expanding its speaker series, featuring Indigenous voices, authors, and photographers who will share insights into Alaska’s rich culture, history, and landscapes.

Entertainment & Activities

Evenings onboard will feature outdoor experiences such as Campfire Movies Under the Stars and Stargazing Nights. Guests can also participate in interactive programming like The Great Big Adventure – Alaska Edition and themed competitions such as Officers vs Guests challenges.

Family-Friendly Experiences

Families traveling with children and teens will find a wide range of destination-focused programming. Activities include Glacier Bay Junior Rangers, Gold Rush-themed adventures, and the Great Alaskan Expedition, all designed to engage younger travelers in Alaska’s history and environment.
