With Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations rising, employees at resorts and other businesses in the Las Vegas area are required to wear masks while working in indoor public spaces until at least Aug. 17. Guests of those establishments, however, will not have to follow the same guidelines.
Workers, whether they're vaccinated or not, must wear masks in hotels, casinos, stores, malls and clubs. But guests gathering in those public spaces are not required to wear masks regardless of their vaccination status.
Commissioners also voted to require businesses to post signs informing customers about a Southern Nevada Health District's indoor mask recommendation that all vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, guests as well as employees, wear masks in crowded indoor public spaces.
