In 2025, two Norwegian Cruise Line Breakaway-Class ships will receive "significant" upgrades, one of which will be the introduction of a brand-new outdoor entertainment concept. Additionally, Norwegian Bliss will get a new dining and movie experience.

Horizon Park, which NCL describes as a “versatile, outdoor gathering space,” will be added to both ships. In addition to relaxing loungers, visitors may enjoy a range of lawn activities like gigantic Jenga and cornhole.

Cruisers of all ages can enjoy the "immersive" movie and dining experience at the Silver Screen Bistro, which is only available on Norwegian Breakaway. The Spiegel Tent will be replaced with the idea, which will have retractable tables and large recliners for sharing portable menu items, including some Food Republic dishes.

The Stadium, a free outdoor area with a range of family-friendly games, will also be given to Norwegian Breakaway. Additionally, The Haven Sundeck and the adults-only outdoor venue Vibe Beach Club will be enlarged to include more cabanas and seating.

According to David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, "our guests and what they value most are crucial in order for us to develop experiences." "We want to give them the best vacation possible." We're giving all kinds of passengers more to do and more to enjoy, from developing fresh ideas that provide additional outdoor meeting places for forming memories with friends and family to increasing dining options that constantly make our customers happy throughout our fleet.

Changes to the Restaurant and Accommodations

Along with the new additions, NCL is also growing some of the most well-liked dining options on board both ships, such as Cagney's Steakhouse (which will replace Los Losbos on Bliss and Moderno Churrascaria on Breakaway) and Teppanyaki (which will replace Coco's on Bliss alone).

Additionally, Ocean Blue will be replaced by Palomar, the specialist seafood restaurant that debuted on Norwegian Prima.

Updated accommodations for the Premiere Owner's Suites with Large Balconies at The Haven will also be provided to Norwegian Bliss. These luxurious suites will be enlarged to have totally renovated living spaces, master bedrooms, and outdoor balcony furnishings, along with three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a separate dining area.

In addition, the ship will add two more club balcony cabins and 24 more balcony staterooms, repurposing part of the Observation Lounge on deck 15.

The two-week drydock for Norwegian Bliss starts on January 17, 2025, while the three-week drydock for Norwegian Breakaway starts on February 19, 2025.
